Ever since a young age I have loved art, whether it be drawing, painting or perfecting a skill in gymnastics. Turns out, all I needed was a gentle push and a little acknowledgement from my sophomore summer figure drawing professor to place me on the path to pursue art. Art is a realm I feel like I bloom, I am constantly learning from my many passions and I love how as I learn in one area of art, it extends to the others.
Balancing art and division 1 gymnastics was not easy, but they were two passions I was not willing to give up. I wouldn't trade the lessons I learned for anything.
They were experiences that will help me for the rest of my life personally and professionally.
I am currently a graphic designer for Connect For Education (C4E and C4EIS). I design web pages and online courses for various higher education and company projects. This includes the web-mapping, UI and layout design, online course assets such as icons, banners, and infographics, as well as asset creation for animated videos. I enjoy the variety of my work and how it allows me to explore new ideas.
Hello! I am Sachi Sugiyama
My fondest memories was watching my dad paint simple water color paintings; I was inspired ever since.
I am currently a graphic designer for Connect For Education Inc.. While here I have been able to work on a variety of projects in a variety of fields, from branding to motion graphics.
I design web pages, sales material, and online courses for various higher education and company projects. This includes the web-mapping, UI and layout design, online course assets such as icons, banners, and infographics. I have also created motion graphics videos as well as asset creation for animated videos. I enjoy the variety of my work and how it allows me to explore new ideas and learn new skills.
I pride myself in my ability to multitask and my eye for detail. At C4E we often have multiple projects going on at once; I work with the project managers to set timelines, coordinate with our design team and respond to client feedback to create a successful product.
I enjoy working with a team and appreciate constructive feedback and instructions; it helps me improve as well as create good working relationships with my colleagues. I am reliable, have great time-keeping skills and a willingness to learn. I am responsible, hard-working, and always try to bring a bright and warm presence to a group.

Attended the Penny W. Stamps School of Art and Design where I learned a variety of skills such as figure drawing, scientific illustration, color theory and typography. I studied abroad for a semester in Ireland; each student created their own exhibition that was open to the public. I also received a full scholarship to compete for the D1 Women's Gymnastics Team.

Scientific Illustration Distance Program II & III
A focused course combining art and science to create informational pieces of artwork. This course built on my foundational skills as well as expanding them by learning about different mediums and work surfaces.

Work on a wide variety of mediums and projects, I have been able to utilize the full scope of my skillsets and passions. From digital creations such as logos, brochures and other sales and marketing items, to hand drawn illustrations of landscapes, to custom snowboards or wakeboards.
